The Lake Ching Murders
Detective Zhong Fong, former head of special investigations Shanghai, has been exiled to Northwestern China. For the past two years he has had only scattered contact with the outside world. When two men come and whisk him away in the middle of the night, Fong is curious. It turns out that the men want him to investigate the brutal murder of seventeen men, foreign scientists and businessmen, on board a ship on Lake Ching.
The case is complex and Fong's future is on the line. Is he up to it after the years of isolation?
